Flashtech Launches the New F5 Modular LED Bulb System
Flashtech Lighting has officially launched the all-new F5 Modular LED Bulb System, a patent-pending LED lighting platform engineered for both headlight and fog light applications.
The F5 is the direct successor to Flashtech’s F4 series, which has been trusted by professional installers, retailers, and automotive enthusiasts since its launch in 2016. Built on nearly two decades of lighting experience, the F5 takes the reliability of the F4 platform and advances it with a modular architecture designed to solve one of the biggest challenges in aftermarket lighting: SKU complexity.

The F5 platform launches with four SKUs, but the main story for distributors and dealers starts with just two.
The F5A single-beam 6000K package is engineered to cover H7, H11, 9005, and 9006 bulb sizes from a single retail package. The F5B dual-beam 6000K package covers H13 and 9007.
Together, the F5A and F5B create a two-SKU system that can address an estimated 85–90% of the halogen-replaceable headlight market. For dealers, that means fewer part numbers, cleaner inventory, and the ability to serve more customers without carrying a large wall of individual bulb SKUs.
Built Around a Patent-Pending Modular Architecture
At the center of the F5 system is Flashtech’s patent-pending modular design. Each F5 kit uses a core LED bulb platform paired with interchangeable sealed power connectors and precision locking collars.
Each retail kit includes the collars and plugs needed to create multiple supported bulb sizes right out of the box. There are no additional purchases required for the supported fitments included in the package.
The system is also field-expandable with additional collars and plugs available separately for extended applications including 9004, 9012, H10, 5202, P13W, and more.
Tool-Free 360° Beam Pattern Adjustment
One of the standout features of the F5 is its tool-free 360° beam pattern adjustment. After installation, the bulb body can rotate by hand within the locked collar.
There are no set screws, no Allen keys, and no need to remove and reinstall the bulb just to fine-tune the beam. This allows installers to precisely align the LED chips to match reflector or projector housing geometry and preserve the factory cutoff.
It is the type of installer-focused detail that makes a real difference during everyday shop installation.
Performance and Construction
The F5 platform produces 6,000 lumens and uses an optimized aluminum heat sink for sustained thermal management and long-term performance.
The F5 also features a premium gunmetal housing with red anodized accent collars, giving the platform a clean, professional appearance that matches its installer-focused engineering.
